Saturday saw the second race in the North Midland’s XC league! 14 UOLRAC athletes took part, including more new faces to cross-country – Kali and Luke. The girls’ race kicked off the day! The 6k course included mostly flat ground with some undulation through the wooded section. Frances, Hannah and Rachel came in respectively, in a 7th place team position. They were followed home by Holly, Emily, Ruth and Kali! After two races, the women stand 8th out of 20 in the team positions. The boys then took on the 10k race. In a race which saw lots of sprint finishes, first home for UOLRAC was Toby with a strong performance in a field of over 250 men. Lewis pulled away from Romain and Aric to come in second, third and fourth respectively. They were followed by Luke and Peter! The boys are currently in 12th place out of 21 teams! Overall, great running from everybody – well done!
